Why do Republicans claim to be about smaller government?

Funny that when Democrats had control of the Congress for over 40 years they never had a surplus until Newt Gingrich was elected Speaker. The size of government can only be reduced, as everyone knows, with a super-majority because the Senate has blocked any attempt to make a smaller government.

There are a lot of things to consider when digging a pond. In your case tempature is the main factor. I would make it no less the 3 and a half feet. The fish need to be able to swim to the bottom to keep warmer than the frozen solid top. If Margins means layers or tears in the pond, I would say two. I have three in mine. Plants provide a lot of things for fish and it is better to have a little than none at all (shelter, food, and hidding places for the young). Good luck.

A co-worker lied to get food stamps?

My co-worker yesterday told me she lied to Social Services and told them that the baby's daddy moved out (he was making alot of money) so that they could get food stamps. She said she told them that he moved in with his boss & his boss backed the story up. Do they make home visits to make sure? I'm not best friends with this girl but I'm afraid shes going to go to jail.

I cheated on my boyfriend last June at prom, with the guy I went with. It all started when my boyfriend started asking if I had danced with him in reality I did and we had also juked acouple songs. (But I kept denying and said we only danced something else) so my bf took my phone and pretended to be me texting my friends. That's when one of them spilled and said that me and my date had also kissed 2 X's. He then confronted me about it and I kept deny deny deny. I would start spilling the truth slowly as I started getting caught up more and more. I told him that was it, but he feels there's more. The whole truth is out nothing else besides the dancing and 2 pecks. But he says he thinks I had sex with him. I told him I wouldn't go that far, I lost it to my bf the kiss was wrong and it the BIGGEST regret I've made up for it by leaving ALL my friends, getting his initial tatted, and I haven't done anything behind his back. He says he wants a polygraph test($450), of which I have to pay if I want this relationship. Till this day he calls me names "busty" when he gets mad. He says I have no voice, I should be shitting bricks because he hasn't found anyone. And this relationship has turned emotionally abusive, he curses me out makes threats ect. He also says it might take many months/years before he can trust me. So I asked him when these results come back when would I start gaining trust, and is he going to stop treating me that way? Because if things aren't going to change I can't take the test. He said I'm a bullshitter,and he wants answers first before he can decide. I said I'm not gonna waste my money on a relationship if its not gonna last. Am I wrong?

I got fired today..help?

here`s my situation im living and working in ireland for 3 years now,paying my taxes and everything...2 months ago my boss informed me that i need a work permit (for being romanian)thing i never knew for sure since i had another job for 2 years where the same i worked with a contract and paying tax..my question is...could i face him in court for hireing me from the begining..he was supposed to know i need that permit ..and in the end fireing me for no reson except the work permit...by the way i was working as deli manager and i worked for this so hard to transform his shitty deli into something really decent and profitable ..and im so angry he just said to me he cant keep me because im romanian.
