Why is my printer zooming in on once particular area of a Word document?

I'm trying to print a Father's Day card, but every time I click print the printer hoans in on one area of the page and only prints that, taking up the full amount of paper. I though that maybe it was because some of it is outside of the printable area, but that doesn't make any sense when I think about what it is doing. If, when it says the warning "you have printed outside of the printable area", I say 'correct margins to fit printable area', it gives me really weird margins such as 1.5 inches top, 3 inches bottom, 8.5 inches right and 2 inches left. I don't know how to fix it!!! Thanks.
