Adrian Peterson, was a 5 star overall prospect coming out of high school, whereas Chris Johnson was a 3 star, maybe even a 2 star, Peterson went to one of the most prestigious schools in the country (Oklahoma) and Johnson went to ECU, Peterson was drafted #7, Johnson was drafted # 24, based on these you can get an idea of the overall talent level of each player is, of course there are many variables (lack of scouting, improvement, concerns about either player which led to them getting drafted lower) but from an overall talent standpoint, Peterson is leaps and bounds ahead, we won't see another Adrian Peterson in about 10 years, We see a Chris Johnson every day (trackstar playing football). and in my opinion Adrian has the better work ethic, so the gap will continue to widen
